We have been using the "You Are Amazing" in the positive context and the 'I can't believe it' context. Sort of a "you had to have been there" joke. Sigh.....
Yesterday we took the Railrunner to Santa Fe with Virginia, Mercy and Mary. We enjoyed the ride, the train goes soooo fast. We walked to the main plaza and ate lunch at the La Fonda. That place has been around a long while and the food and service is very good. They cater to tourists of course, but the chile was from New Mexico and they had posole as a side with my tamales. You don't find posole as much anymore. I much prefer that to Spanish rice. Why do they put Spanish rice with New Mexican food? Beats me.... I don't know anyone that does that at home. When we have beans and rice we have white rice with a bit of meat in it. Hmmmm.
View a bit different than from the highway. |
Gene, trying to herd us women around in front of the Cathedral. |

The Sandias as we returned to Albuquerque. |
This morning the clouds were hanging around the Sandia and Manzano Mountains in a strange way.
Very pretty and different. This was about 8:30 a.m. as I recall. Gene was already on his bicycle and called me to tell me to go look. Nice view of Albuquerque from the end of Taylor Ranch Road.
We are going to Chimayo today so I will not be posting for a couple of days. The Rancho de Chimayo is a beautiful B & B and restaurant, but the internet, phone and TV is scarce. If you call, leave a message and we will call back when we find service! Hasta luego!

Beautiful photos as always. I kind of laugh that there is little internet service in Chimayo - like going to another country.
Like 100 years ago, Bag Blog. :) No electric plugs in the bathrooms, dried my hair in the bedroom. We didn't have to get shots or use our passports.
Nice sketch. He looks friendly. :-)
Glad y'all had a good trip to Santa Fe.
Hugs...
