We sketchers are off and running on Scavenger Hunt 298. Paul is hosting . I sketched with a Prismacolor Premier pen/fine line marker in the old sketchbook. I had to have something that started with the last letter of my name. Well that is “O” for Jo or Castillo. First to mind was an orange which we rarely have in the house. As luck would have it, though, Esther brought us some of the famous oranges and grapefruit from the South Valley of Texas. Thanks, Esther! They were in a colorful basket so I decided to add some watercolor to the sketch. I like the sketch and the oranges and pink grapefruit are so sweet and juicy. Always a welcome addition to the menu at Christmas.
Number 1, something that starts with the last letter of your name. Oranges.
We had a couple of days of rain, yahoo!! Put a bit of water in our lakes. The weather is lovely today, we have the door and windows open. Enjoying while we can since it is supposed to be 45 degrees F. on Sunday.
I took these egrets with my camera and the new binoculars Gene got. Not too fuzzy, eh?
The turtles were enjoying the sunshine, too.
From one lake to the other.
Two roadrunners were out as we left to go to San Marcos this morning.
Gene working in the back, well lake side.
.The peacock table mat, a Christmas gift. Fits right in our living room.
I think I will go out on the porch and sketch!!
