Sketching and Focusing

I sketched out on the porch, imagine that.  I am beginning to get a bit quicker with Brushes and my finger painting on my iPad.  I try not to use the "Undo" unless it is a huge error, for instance if inadvertently drag my finger across the page.

We are up to Scavenger Hunt 290.   I have been sketching on the Hunts since 2006.  I am becoming a real old timer.  I have over 4,000 posts on wetcanvas.com and it says Immortalized under my name.  Some of the sketchers have over 20,000 and are now a WC Legend.

Each sketch was about 30 minutes.  The challenge is to do a still life with as many of the 26 items as possible.  You know I am too lazy to gather props.  So, you will get a couple of small  groups.

Number 1, blue - Gene's recliner in the living room.

Number 2, holiday decorations - the pumpkins and corn for Thanksgiving and Number 3, made of fabric - the scarecrow's clothes.

Number 4, wet - the screen from the fog and dew, those are water drops, not snow!  Number 5, cold and clammy - the grass and trees.  Number 6, made of wood - the porch and Number 7, made of glass - the bottle

Saved for the end, my art link for the day:

I read Clint Watson's newsletter daily.  Great advice and guest articles.

Focus

by Clint Watson

The things we focus on get bigger and more important in our lives, as if they gain energy from the attention we give them. Those are the things we think about. The things we fix. The things we worry about. The things we improve. I ask again, what are you focusing on? [...]
