Sketch, Photos

I checked in on wetcanvas.com since I have my computer out tonight.  I cannot post photos there from the iPad.  I have been lax on sketching so did a quick 5 minute self portrait.  Gene said, "Pretty good sketch, but it doesn't look like you!"  So maybe I just did a portrait, not a self-portrait.

Number 1 for Scavenger Hunt 280 in the Canson travel sketchbook with the Prismacolor Premier 08.

I forgot to post the photo below yesterday.  I labeled it wrong and just missed it.

We both said about the same time, "That is a weird tunnel ahead."  As we got closer we saw that it is an animal cross over over the highway.  I missed the photo of the sign.  I wonder how many animals use it.  Hmmm.

We also stopped and bought cherries.  Oh, my!  They were sooooo good.  I had never had the yellow ones.  If anything they were a bit sweeter.  Large, too.  Look at my keys and the pen behind them.

Tonight we drove to Lakeside for dinner at the Tamarack Restaurant.

Dinner was excellent and there was a creek behind with a deck so we must have stayed for an hour and a half or more.

The creek down below the deck.

There were at least 10 kids that abandoned their dinner to go play down below.  A couple fell in the water but didn't seem to mind.  The older boys crossed the water on logs and climbed the trees.

Another lake on the way back after dinner.

Flathead Lake from a dock.  It is a huge lake.

Some rowers on the lake.  Looked like tourists??

We saw this sculpture by the restaurant last night in downtown Kalispell.  The gas can body caught Gene's eye.

More when I can.....

Rae, thanks so much. I haven't commented lately on your abstracty (new word) paintings. So wonderful.

Jo, I like the self portrait. You did a great job on it. I think the yellow cherries are Ranier. I prefer them over Bing. The scenery photos are wonderful. Keep on having fun!!
Take care,

I knew who the portrait was right away. Maybe I need to give Gene some lessons on art appreciation.

Dinner with entertainment - looks like fun!

Judi, thank you. The cherries were the, best. Hadn't been refrigerated.

Bag Blog, yes, you need to talk to Gene! We had pizza (gluten free for me). It was excellent. Then wine and coffee for a great evening with the home grown music. Had to have on our sweatshirts as it was about 58 degrees with a breeze. Evil grin!
