Art on the Green, Bastrop Fine Arts Guild

You are invited to the Tenth Annual Art on the Green show in Bastrop, Saturday, October 1, 2011, from 10 to 5.   Local and regional artists will show their work and present demonstrations at this family event, sponsored by the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild and held on the lawn of the Bastrop County Courthouse.

Bastrop is one of 132 towns honored as a “distinctive destination” by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  Come and see why, and support our growing community of artists.  Some of the artists will be donating all or part of the money from sales to the disaster relief  fund for the recent Bastrop Fire victims.

There is no admission charge.  A great way to support the Bastrop community, hope to see you there.

It does look fun. Toby has to be in Houston several times this Oct. I may come with him later in Oct. If I do, we may have to swing by your casita.

The art shows that I see, via blogs, in lots of small towns in the States are so great. We don't have things like that here - the Quota art show is about the closest.

I hope you had a wonderful time at the show, a great way to get the community together for a fun time after all you've been through.

It is always a good day. It is pure artists and artisans with no imported commercial items. The weather was great, a bit warm here. Thanks for thinking of us.
