Finally I got a couple of sketches for Scavenger Hunt 215. I did a few over the last couple of weeks but never got them posted. Sigh....
These are in a sketchbook with a Pilot ball point pen in just a few minutes last night after the baseball game.

Number 1, fingers and challenge of a page of fingers. My fingers look skinny, not the case, ha.

Number 2, the most weird thing in your house - a drink container from Mardi Gras thanks to Jennie. |
I returned prints and CD's to
Byrd and Street on Thursday night. They were performing at the
Hyatt Lost Pines. (Beautiful resort and very busy over spring break.) I have had Tommy's and Kathy's art at the gallery and won't see them again for a while so thought that was a good time to return them with my gallery closing soon.
Tommy does great black and white drawings and Kathy has a nice style in oil paints. You can see and hear some of
their work on their website and of course, buy it there, too. The music is great and they are almost finished with a third album. You will really enjoy their music and show so try to get somewhere to see them. They perform mostly in central Texas but will be in New Mexico in May -- Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Taos.

Sunset on the way to the Hyatt. |
Yesterday was an interesting day, too. Gene and I went to look at a replacement vehicle for our little Ranger pickup which had over 140,000 miles and was getting a little worn for driving around as a second car. We planned on buying a used Escape and ended up with a brand new one with SYNC, a sun roof and more. Ah well, you only live once, might as well enjoy it. We ended up driving it to the baseball game and home. Nice.
The game was interesting, too. The Longhorns were behind 3 - 0 for most of the game and finally tied it in the 9th inning and then won with the bases loaded and a walk off base on balls by Kevin Lusson, the designated hitter, in the 10th inning. College baseball is never boring. It can change every inning.

The shadows were great during Eric Weiss' at bat. |

Another great shadow. |
|
Shadows in the field, too. |

This looks like an ouch!

And the Horns win, 4 - 3. Yay! Beautiful baseball day! |
You can read and see photos on
texassports.com. Your best read about the games es on
Joanna's Baseball Page. Today is supposed to be a fly over by 2 Navy F/A - 18C Hornets. See you there?? Hook 'em!

Glad you got some sketches posted.
I cannot believe y'all bought a new car. Just. Like. That.
Hey, Joanna. Thanks. Well, the car buying wasn't just like that. Remember I had checked those keys and we looked at Jeeps and Escapes for about a month or more. We looked at that van, too. We started with the Escape in mind. We sure didn't intend to just go do it yesterday, though. We had a couple of trash bags of "junk" in the pickup to unload. :)
Always a little sad to give up a car that has treated you well, too.
Sketches and UT Baseball - all is right with the world.
Bag Blog, how true is that. The Horns won the first conference series. It was not easy. They are basically the same team as last year with no offense. Going to be interesting. Kansas State was about the same in stats and you see the low scoring. Sigh......
