Sort of woe. I washed my cell phone today in the pocket of my jeans. Isn't that the pits? Luckily I had a
Tracfone, which works fine for as often as I need it. But I am still without a phone until morning. We went to Taos to Wal-Mart and got a new one. Just $20, I can keep my same number and restore the minutes I had. Whew! I am so happy I do not yet have an iPhone. :) Only because of the washing. Ha.
I have been painting and sketching. Really! Here is some proof:
 |
Scavenger Hunt 188, Number 1, "F", a box fan here in the condo. In the medium sketchbook with a Micron 003 pen. |
 |
Number 2, "M", motorcycle in Taos. It was painted in camouflage with the fenders and gas tank green camo and the seat a pinkish. Guess the pink is for the desert. This was with a Micron 05 pen in the small sketchbooI |

I also painted plein air on Wednesday. Gene rode his bike so I went along and painted near Black Lake. It was a spectacular day. I painted with acrylics. I forgot my paper towels, but my apron pockets had enough left overs to cover my time. I always forget something. This painting is 8 x 10 inches on Masonite with gesso on the board. I was pleased with this as I painted about 1 1/2 hours with one brush about 1/2 inch wide. The horses are pretty much just a brush stroke or two. It was pretty windy and the paints dried so fast that I only used red, blue, yellow and white. There was a spring there, so I listened to a babbling brook as I painted. The owner lady came by and asked if I was looking for someone as I was putting up my easel. I told her the place looked abandoned and I was going to paint and gave her a card. We chatted a while and she told me a friend of hers was an artist and lived nearby and they paint on Wednesdays. Maybe I will find her. :)

My painting and the view. |

My set up under a tree in the shade! Nice. |

Finished painting, you can click to make it larger. It will be for sale on my website soon. |

Gene, starting his ride. He went about 30 miles that day. |
We had visitors again after dark at the condo. We took in our hummingbird feeders, but they found some on the floor above us .. 3rd floor. Not great photos , but you get the idea.

The mama having a drink, I don't think the kids can reach. It was all 5 of them again. |

One of the kids right on the step. They look like aliens with their glowing eyes. |

I think I need that painting.
Nice painting, Mom. The horses look so happy. ;-)
Thanks, Bag Blog. Want to trade?
Joanna, the horses appeared to be happy. Of course by the time I was ready to paint them they had moved either behind the barn or close to the road where I couldn't see them. They are "memory" horses. :)
Beautiful painting, Jo! Well done!
I will trade :)
Bag Blog, OK, I'll give you a call when I get the phone thing straightened out. I'm smiling.
