Happy New Year!
I saw a cute sketch on
Scavenger Hunt 160 by Julie. You can see it here on
Julie's blog. Julie sketches in many different media. So interesting to see her sketches and unique ideas. These Buddhas made me smile and encouraged me to sketch. I got out the old 7 x 10 inch sketchbook and a Micron 05 pen and went to work.

So for the first sketch of the New Year and Hunt 160, Number 1, twisted - a piece of phone cord that we use sometimes to wrap around other cords to keep them together. Number 2, ticket, a ticket for the Revel concert.
There are more concerts in the future. Number 3, glasses - my sunglasses.
I finished the
Art House sketchbook and will mail it tomorrow or Monday. The sketches fit in
Scavenger Hunt 159 so I had better get them posted, too. I didn't post them on the Hunt either. :( These were done with a Micron 05, too, in the Art House sketchbook.

Number 16, nature - out in our back yard (from the window, it is cold out!)

Number 17, cozy - the snuggie that Jennie got me for Christmas in burnt orange with Texas designs on it. Very cozy. Thanks, Jennie!

Number 18, family - the keys on the key hanger behind the door.
For the Art House project, I need to upload many of the sketches to their site and then I want to make a slide show for my page and blog to store them. I painted today on a pastel painting. I need to get at least two finished by January 10 for the Austin Pastel Society Annual Jurried Show. As a procrastinator, I say I work well under pressure, but in real life, I don't think that is true. Ah, me.......

Hi, Jo, thanks for looking in on me. Congrats on finishing your project! Love the curls in your twisted cord.
Hi wabbitt, (Julie). Thank you for coming by, too. I always smile looking at your sketches and blog. See you on the Hunts! You are always trying something new. I'm pretty much in a rut as sketching goes.
