I sketched this evening after painting this afternoon. I sketched in the Art House Project sketchbook with a Micron 05 pen. If you recall, I sketch freehand with ink . I believe that helps my painting, to put down a stroke and leave it. It helps me to "look and see" better before I paint or draw something.
I have only 3 more pages to finish at least one side of all the pages in the sketchbook. The paper is really too thin to do both sides, I tried at first. I did not care for the results. I am using these for Scavenger Hunt 159 as well. Doubles ... again!
Number 12, three legs. The easel that Cole, our grandson (the favorite grandson), got for me. It is interesting in that it all comes apart. It has screws and just screws together. I brought it from Kentucky in my suitcase.
Number 13, reused. The easel, board, set up, supplies, pastels, foil, etc. that I am using for the painting I am working on.
Number 14, from the bedroom. This is a Murphy bed that my father gave us. It is in my studio, but we use it for sleeping when we need an extra bed. It has a mirror on the front and opens down into a double bed. It has been used many times and went to South America with us.
Number 15, friend. This is a vase that Lea Cundy made for me. She is an amazing artist and is working mainly in hand thrown and hand painted pottery now. She is my artist for the day. She does not have a blog but you can see her art on her website by clicking on her name above. She sells at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and from her studio.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Jo - glad to see you making art full steam ahead!! All good sketches - so hard to do with a pen, I think. Your new easel is very cool! Maybe time for art (for me) soon..
You are getting close to finishing the journal...yeah!!
I don't know if I'll be back on the computer before the weekend, so have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wishing you and your family a healthy and happy 2010!
Regina, hi there! Actually my art is deadline prone ... The sketchbook has to be mailed by the 4th and the APS deadline is January 10. How are you doing on those?? Hope your Christmas was great!
Joan, yes, near the end of the journal. Very good feeling. Hope you have a Happy New Year, too.
I think that was the bed in my bedroom in Lubbock. I know that was my bed somewhere...
Joanna, Must have been Lubbock. We had a new mattress made for it there. It was in the guest room in Phoenix and Austin. It certainly has been used a lot! I think it was made in 1864 or something like that. It has the original mirror .. we had it re-silvered in Austin.
I stopped by to wish you a fantastic New Year Jo. May you continue to receive the many blessings you so deserve.
Sheila, oh, thank you so much. I do appreciate the stop by. Happy New Year back at you!!
