Sketches and Photos

I managed a couple of sketches for Scavenger Hunt 147. I am the host, as I mentioned, and being the lazy person I am I recycled a list I posted in November 2007. One of the challenges this time, was to draw an item that we drew on that previous Hunt 63. The only item I have with me in New Mexico is my coin purse. I didn't look at the two sketches until I posted them on wetcanvas.com. Similar but different. Hmmmm.

Number 6, lamp. This is at Gene's Mom's. I have sketched it before, too, but not for Hunt 63. Number 7, something with stripes - my coin purse from Peru or Bolivia, I wonder....

And the stripes from the old Hunt. You can click on the images to make them larger.

One of my favorite flower painters is Joe Anna Arnett. (I like that her name is spelled Joe with an 'e') I first saw her art in The Artists Magazine many years ago, probably when we were in South America. She is from Texas and went to The University of Texas. She now lives in Santa Fe it seems. I need to run up to Santa Fe and see some of her work in person, I never have. We haven't played golf in weeks it seems, maybe we can go play that direction somewhere.

I was reminded of Joe Anna's work when I read my e-mail this morning and saw the work of Kay Eneim on the Informed Collector e-mail. They paint in the style I really like for flowers. Sigh....

Thank you, Regina. I keep on trying!

Regina's right about the lamp!

Considering how many paintings and sketches you do on a regular basis I'd hardly say you were lazy :-)

Joanna, thank you very much.

Teresa, if I wasn't lazy I would do better. Ah, well. Thank you for your support.
