The Winner!

I am wondering about all the art contests going around. I just got a notice from the Artist's Magazine about a garden art contest, here. I don't know how many entries they will get, but this particular contest is $15 per photo and must be done on-line. The total in prizes to be awarded is $900. It doesn't take many artists to add up to a big profit, does it? Most of us might enter 2 pieces. That is just 30 artists to break even. I know there is some expense to have someone keep track of the database and enough to pay a juror or two. As I recall, some of the Artist's Magazine contests have had thousands of entries.

We could have a contest and find a juror, save my $30, I could enter free, my rules.

At any rate, here is one I could enter, when is that deadline? Hmmmm .....

I love this one, Jo - it's a very unique viewpoint, and great light and shadow.
Start the contest - I'll send in my 30 bucks - hope springs eternal, right?

Hi Joan, thank you so much.

Regina, thank you, too. I will work out the prospectus. Heh, heh.

Hi Jo, This is a great piece! I have been feeling a little cynical about contests too...Am Artist Mag entry fee is $50! Plus pay an extra $10 and they'll let you submit it late..lol!

Michelle, Wow, that late fee is a first for me. What nerve! Live and learn. :)
