We woke up to a cool and rainy day. I decided to get some sketches in with a Micron 05 pen in the 7 x 10 inch sketchbook. Just a few minutes each for Scavenger Hunt 142.

Number 5, turn around and sketch what is behind me. The couch and folding door. Number 6, a pile of at least three things. A bird book, sketchbook and wooden drink coaster.

Number 7, at least three things in a row. Some bottles on the table.
We also went out to breakfast at Avalon's, it wasn't as good as last time. Maybe we were not as hungry or something. I took a couple of reference photos while we were out and painted while it rained. I will post it tomorrow as I didn't get a photo, no sun until late and I was still painting.

This evening we went to dinner in Eagle Nest at the Boardwalk Steakhouse. It was excellent with leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The evening was gorgeous after the rain. I will include a photo here and you can go see the rest on
Picasa.

Lovely clouds!
Joanna, yes. It was such a beautiful evening after the rain. Cool, too. :)
Nice sketches... and wow!..... what an awesome skyscape!
Teresa, thanks. I guess the lack of pollution and altitude help make beautiful sunsets out here.
