I found the most interesting sketch/pastel artist on wetcanvas.com today. Jan Olsen has a great blog full of information on the above mentioned media. On Jan's blog, Observe Closely, you will find enough information and links to keep you busy for some time.
The item that caught my eye was a sketching map of the DC area on Google. Jan updates the map, not quite sure how it works, but sooooo nifty.
Have fun with this but come back here for some pastel news. I prepared three panels yesterday for some small pastel paintings. I put Colourfix Primer on them and painted the backs and edges with latex paint. It took a while because we are actually having rainy days and that slowed down the drying time.
Baseball was cancelled last night and they hope to get in a double header today or tomorrow so that the Longhorns can get in three games. They have to play them within 72 hours of the time that Oklahoma left to get here. Interesting rules.
