I have been uninspired for Hunting or any art for that matter. I did work on a painting for a couple of hours just because I should. Scavenger Hunt 111 ends today. I managed two sketches late last night. It was a great list, too, names of songs and then we were to sketch something from the songs or just the names, or the musicians.
Number 1, The Joker, I found a deck of cards and sketched the joker. About 10 minutes with a Micron 005 pen. I had forgotten how much finer the line is with the 005 compared to the 05, the nibs are .005 and .05 of an inch I guess. Number 2, Light My Fire, we had the gas fireplace on. About 20 minutes with the same pen on the same page of the sketchbook.
We had the fireplace on as it was our coldest day of the year, so far, and I hope the only coldest day. The temperature dropped from 80 degrees F. on Tuesday, when we played golf to a high of 47.9 degrees yesterday. The temperature dropped quickly on Tuesday, it was 80 about 2:00 p.m. and down in the 50s by 5:00 p.m. During the night it sleeted and then dropped a sprinkling of snow before we got up. The low was 33.8 degrees. Gene got a few photos of the snow on the roofs, but it was gone by the time I got up ... so no sketches for "Baby It's Cold Outside". You northerners will laugh at our snow and our being cold, but it doesn't snow here very often!
Our neighbors roofs. Pretty exciting, right?
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Well, whichever day turns out to be the coldest will surly be the *only* coldest day of the year
I'm so glad you got some snow!!! I'm sure everyone was excited to see it in your area.
Hey, Joanna, that is persactly why I said that, I want no more coldest days!
Valerie, snow is exciting and beautiful to see. I just don't want to be in it! Thanks for stopping by. :)
Jo: Good thing you captured it first thing because it would soon be gone. We have had a roller coaster Fall/ winter so far. We have a covering of white now.
Thanks for your wishes.
Hi fishing guy, didn't think I would see you for a while. Hope things are going well and the snow is gentle and lovely to look at with no big problems. :)
