USA Baseball Team takes Bronze.

I was a little disappointed in the NBC coverage of baseball and softball in the Olympics. I could have done without watching all the marathons (two and a half hours of the same thing) and long boating events. Oh well.

The USA Baseball team won the Bronze Medal. CONGRATULATIONS to them!!! There is a blog with a photo of the medal ceremony by Brian Duensing. We were hoping to watch and see Taylor Teagarden from the Texas Longhorns play.

The softball team won the Silver Medal. A big CONGRATULATIONS to them, too!!! We were able to see a little of a couple of their games. We of course like to see Cat Osterman pitch.

So a small rant to complain of the coverage and that Baseball and Softball will not be in the next Olympics. What is up with that???

I felt the same way about the Olympics. I would loved to have watched some baseball and softball. Are they really taking them from the Olympics? They must be making room for some real sports like syncronized swimming or dancing of some sort.

Bag Blog, I also think that the TV goes overboard in trying to be "fair" to the other countries and don't show as many Americans. Like the women's marathon and they showed every step... Who pays for this coverage anyway? They do the same in Golf. Oh well. I'm sure baseball is gone so they can show something like you said. Arghhhh... I do think that it should all be amateur, but who would pay for the training. Some of the American families go way in debt to help the Olympians make it to their 15 seconds of fame. Sad.
