Jo's Show in Magdalena News

We are packing and trying to get ready to leave for New Mexico. It is difficult to get ready but fun to go away for several months. Of course I keep up with my art and blog so you won't have many interruptions.

Hometown Sunset
Acrylic, 11 x 14 inches
will be at Peppers Art Gallery, Magdalena, New Mexico

This is the snippet from my web page:

The Old Timers Festival is the setting for Jo's fifth annual artist reception at Peppers Art Gallery, 100 E 1st., Magdalena, New Mexico, 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2007. Wine and cheese will be served. This is a great chance to meet Jo and see her new pastel and acrylic paintings.

An annual event for over 30 years, Magdalena is a busy village on this weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is a rodeo for children, another for old cowboys 50 years and older, street dance, theater, arts and crafts, barbeque, pancake breakfast, New Mexican food, Navajo fry bread, parade and much more.I

In addition to Jo's reception, she will be painting and demonstrating in pastels on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Stop by and meet Jo and visit with Markie, Wendy (Peppers owners) and the other artists in the huge yard at Peppers. Events at Peppers are free.

You can read more about the show on "Steppin' Out New Mexico" in their article. It is also in the printed issue for June and July. You can download the complete issue if you want to know what is going on in New Mexico art wise, just go to the main page here and click on the main cover image and you will come to a page where you can download this issue and previous issues. "Steppin' Out" is a great resource for art and an opportunity to show your work, have a blog and much more. New Mexico artists take note! The folks there are super with help and give more than required. The site is a little complicated, but stock full of information and pleasure.

I hope your show goes great, Jo and that you really have a good time. And it's so cool that there is an article about you in the Steppin' Out magazine! You are part of the Magdalena tradition now!

Regina, thank you. I did send my article to Steppin' Out, but they rewrote it and at least do publish it. Pretty nice. They came to Magdalena last year and I got to meet them. They are dedicated to the cause. :) The site is growing, the printed paper is very popular.
