Baby its cold outside....h

I am not complaining about the cold, but ..... We are on the road again. We arrived in Mt. Morris, Michigan, near Flint yesterday. We stepped out of our rental about lunch time here and whoa ... about 65 degrees. We had to go to Wal-Mart and get me a long sleeved shirt. I intended to bring a windbreaker, but you know me! This morning it is about 50 degrees. Remember that we were at about 102 degrees the day before. Big change.

It is beautiful here. Green and flowers everywhere. I need to go to Wal-Mart again and get me a throw away camera asI also forgot my camera. That is so hard to believe, right? I changed my carry on and guess I left it in the other bag. So sad ... sigh.

To make up for leaving the camera behind here is a photo of the Kel Haven Trail where Gene rode is bicycle last year. (Well, uploading failed ... it appears the wireless here at the hotel is too slow to upload the photo before the connection times out. Argh.... Maybe it will upload later.)

Photos added, 6/21/08 Amazing. Bike trail in Michigan

We flew this time, so no biking or golfing. We have plenty to do. I am going with Sue to her oil painting class tonight. I haven't painted with oils in a year or so, this may be an adventure.

Off to enjoy the nice cool day.

It is a little goofy to feel cold, guess it is the big change.

My camera is hanging on my hand the whole trip usually. I did sketch some quick studies on the drive...look and then sketch from memory .. a barn or whatever. Beautiful farms in Indiana. But, can't post those either without the camera. Maybe tomorrow when we get back to my son's in Kentucky. Use his stuff....

Thanks.

The queen of trips and you forget something. Hard to believe. I thought you had it down to a science since you move a whole household twice a year. Have loads of fun.

Tell Sue hi from me. (I figure it is the Sue who has the gallery). She and I have emailed a couple times. Have fun cleaning up those paintbrushes with the oils. Yuk.

I don't know what I'd do without my camera! I'm surprised you haven't bought another one! Bundle up, Jo and come home safe. We're baking down here, trust me.

Jeanne, I am the queen of forgetfulness this trip. Wow. Sue is my art buddy here in Michigan. She doesn't have a blog or web page. :( We sure have fun, though since about 1995. We met at a workshop in Montana and our husbands had such great times together. Sadly it is just Sue now, but we still try to get together about twice a year. Off to Kentucky tomorrow! Thanks for stopping in.

Ah, Susan, no time for cameras today! Just paintin' and talkin'. So much to say and do and so little time! Will try to get some photos when we get to David's tomorrow.

It was about 65 today and will be about 75 tomorrow. Pretty nifty. We have settled in now and are enjoying the weather. We are acclimated to the weather and time change.

Hugs. Oh, Jeanne says hi! :)

It sounds like you are having a great time. I wish I were traviling and painting. We are headed to Lubbock for the weekend, but it is just not the same.

Some trips I am the queen of efficiency. Sometimes I forget very important things - like the time I forgot Toby's suit at a big business dinner.

I know we are related.

bag blog, Heh, heh. Sis it is, huh? Well, more like mother - daughter, me being mother or grandmother even. I really liked Lubbock sometimes. The big skies and thunder storms you can see for miles and miles. Take care....

65 degrees would be pleasant for me about now. June has been the most miserable wet and cold month in history!

I'm sure you'll keep warm and get photos some how. It looks lush and green there.

Jeanette, It is all relative, right? Hope you do get some nice summer. It is always overdone at home in central Texas, sort of like your winters are overdone. Thanks for stopping in. I haven't been reading and will check your recent posts soon.

Beautiful pictures, and again I am so jealous of the cool!! You are northeast of where I went to college and way southeast of where I lived before that (Kalkaska). Hope you have a great time!!

Regina, hi! We are all the way south in Kentucky and expecting a high of 85 today. Gene just looked and it is already 88 in Bastrop, so we are still basking in the cool. Beautiful here.

Jo: Lovely photos of the trail, I would think the temperatures would be a welcome change. The weather up North has been varying so much. I'm in the heat in Florida right now.

fishing guy, the weather is great. It was just such a shock after the 102 weather to go to 60 and then 50 at night. Ha. Hope you are enjoying Florida. See ya soon.
