I just picked two dice out of a cup we had in Bolivia. Interesting in that they were from different sets. I didn't realize until I looked at them and started sketching.

I painted on an acrylic painting today of cactus in New Mexico. I will put it up as a WIP (work in progress), but not tonight. We watched Prime Suspect, Final Act, part 1. I think I have watched it three times before so that was when I sketched. I like Helen Miren and British mysteries. My favorite is Foyle's War. I have seen most on this list of 25 and most of each series.

You do such wonderful sketches. Do you use them later in paintings or are they only done for your own satisfaction?
Hi fishing guy, thanks. I usually don't use the sketches for paintings. I use them to make me "see and look" better. Look and make a line or two so that I can do the same in painting. I did use the cactus sketches for the cactus as I was having difficulty with the composition. I don't draw with a pencil first, just plow in .. so the perspective is often askew. :)
