I had my day out today. It was very nice out, a little cool. We may get ice storms this weekend .. I hope it is just rain and no ice.
I went to the Post Office to mail a calendar to my cousin. When I mailed everything the other day the post person said the address wouldn't work. I checked at home and with Chuck, it was correct and the Zipcode finder found a match. So I had to go back. Same clerk, and it went through just fine. I was also checking on some stamps I bought a couple of years ago online ... discount right? When they came they were huge compared to the real stamps. I figured they were not real but had forgotten to check. I took them today and of course they are not real. She said I had some nice stickers! They are flag stamps. So you may get a sticker inside your note if I mail you something.
Then I went for my sketching lunch. I decided to go to Jalisco's by the HEB since I had to pick up groceries at 2:30 p.m. I had a nice lunch and sketched. Then I bought lunch for some "elders" to pay forward for the lunch that was bought for me a while back. Fun. It was interesting that the lunch for 3 was just a little more than mine. Guess they didn't have margaritas!
I sketched in the Ohuhu Mix Media sketchbook. It is almost full and I can start the new one soon. I drew with an Ohuhu pen 03 and added watercolor.

When I left I still had some time and saw the lawn mowers at Tractor Supply. Perfect for "large machine" with a few minutes for a quick sketch.
Number 6 large machine - lawn mowersThe groceries were ready so I picked them up and came home. Gene's caretaker today turns out to be a neighbor. We may see her again sometime.
Stay warm!! Which reminds me, the baseball team is having the Alumni Game on January 31. Early! It will probably be cold for the first few games. We get nice weather in January and then have cold weather in February for baseball. Murphy's Law....

Hi, not so anonymous, Joanna. Thanks for stopping in. It was a good day. Margarita and sketching ... just missed doing it with someone else. Maybe next time.
