I picked up a piece of candy from the dish on the cabinet and remembered treat was on the list. Perfect. We've never had Dove, peanut butter/chocolate pieces. Dove candies are wrapped in foil with a little saying inside. I decided to look at the saying then just popped the candy in my mouth! Oops. No candy treat!
So for Hunt 147 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-147-jan-30-feb-7.7690/
Number 7 treat - well, the treat wrapper. I sketched on my iPad with the app ArtRage because it has a metal setting. It looks a little like foil. My shadows are a little dark. Fun to try.
We had lunch with friends today in San Marcos. We have known the husband from high school. I've mentioned Jerry before I'm pretty sure. Do you realize that is about 65 years since high school? We can talk about high school and now about doctor visits.
We asked Larry to join us as it is his real birthday today. We celebrated on Saturday and a couple of his gifts didn't arrive so wanted to give them to him. He was patient to listen to the stories he has heard so many times.
It was a good lunch. We ate at Chili's. Larry and Gene and I hadn't eaten at Chili's in 15 years or so. Maybe there is one near you?
Another summer day. Wonder what's coming next?
Happy Birthday, Larry!

How funny that you just had the wrapper to sketch. I didn't realize the Dove candies had messages inside. Great that you had the metallic colors on the digital program. Glad you had fun with your friends...and Happy Birthday to Larry!
Joan, thanks so much. I ate the candy without thinking, such a habit. One of the sayings says something like Be Your Authentic Self. Our friend and singer Tommy Byrd says sometimes that he is Authentic so I saved him some of those wrappers and some Doves. Hope he opened one, too. I'll pass your words to Larry! He is in the Dallas area tonight.
