Outside finally to sketch at PT. Items on the Hunt list were car and entrance. Easy to find there.
I sketched in front of the PT place. Sat on a brick pillar that holds the roofs up. It was really nice out. There were many more cars but with artists license, I left them out.
Number 4 car - a Chevrolet black pickup. The big letters were decorated or painted nicely. The "CHEV" were navy blue with white stars and the "ROLET" were red and white stripes like the flag. Fun to see.
Number 5 entrance - across at Ross
Back inside I noticed a small balloon stuck under a bulletin board. That fit for yellow.
Number 6 yellow - about an eight inch yellow balloon.
Both in the travel sketchbook with a Micron 03 pen.
Last week one of the clients, an elderly man (elderly like us) asked me if he could give me a cross. He makes them from a 2 x 4 piece of lumber. I thought that was very nice and maybe a good sign for Gene and I. The cross is about 2 inches tall and close to half an inch thick. Not varnished.

Jo great job with sketching a vehicle...that is such a tough subject for me. Hope your baseball weather stays just a wee bit warmer. Such a great gift from a nice man. Take care and have a lovely day. Hugs!
How great that the weather was good for you to actually sit outside to sketch this! I like the sketch of the entrance to Ross and the Chevy too. Sounds like you got a very nice gift from the gentleman.
Debbie, thanks. He was a nice man. I didn't see him today. It is already predicted to cool off this weekend and baseball starts next weekend for real games. Hopefully not in the 40s. :-)
Thanks, Joan. I'm not nearly as brave as you to go out unless it is at least 60º . We were laughing because we used to have our morning coffee out on the deck in Angel Fire at 40-45º. We were younger then. Ha. I plan to carry the cross in my purse.
