I sat in the car out back of the physical therapy place and sketched and colored with watercolors. We will call it Number 4 nature and Number 5 man made. The buildings are corrugated tin and iron fences near by. The trees are budding out and the wildflowers are starting. In fact the bluebonnets are pretty big. There were some yellow something mostly on this side of the wire fence.
I sketched in the large Canson mix media sketchbook with the Acurite 03 pen and added watercolor with the waterbrushes. Joan Tavolott http://watercolorsbyjoan2.blogspot.com/ does this all the time and does beautiful sketches/paintings with watercolor. I found it difficult even without having regular brushes and water container. Maybe next time I will sit on the tailgate part of the car and use brushes and water. Larry gave me a collapsible container for Christmas.
We get company today. I will probably use the time while Gene is in therapy for shopping. We need eggs and bread and a few other things. Never enough time. Maybe I am just so much slower. Sigh.....
Looks like the umpires had a little prayer before the game. Good thing, the homeplate umpire was injured, hit by the ball on his head. Hopefully he is fine.
The National Anthem was sung by an Army soldier. I'll get his name and put here. It was beautiful and so touching with the Air Force players and color guard. They play ball and then go out to put their lives on the line for us.
Gene with his Texas hat which has his missile and SAC pins on it and his Air Force sweatshirt. A fellow asked him if he was conflicted and another said, "He can't lose." The Air Force did lose 12 -3 but it is inspiring to go to the game when they are in town.

Glad you were able to get out to the game! Looks like fun. I haven't been to a baseball game in eons. Love the outdoor sketch. Handling all the materials is never easy. lol
