Back to Ink Sketches

Gene listens to podcasts on his trike ride.  He had trouble with his headset so I went to help him.  I decided while I was out and about to sketch something different for a change.  So ink in the Canson travel sketchbook which is 5.5 x 8.5 inches.  I used the Acurite 03 pen.  I like that pen, maybe just because it the case/cover is red.

These are for the Scavenger Hunt 106 hosed by Joe (Fletch on-line).  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-106-mar-8-mar-16.6675/

Number 1 something from the yard - not our yard but these two dog sculptures at a neighbors.  They are cement or stone, a gray color.  I always do a double take when we drive by, they look real.

Number 2 something metal - the road sign and the post it sits on.  It is yellow.
Number 3, something wooden - the fence post and rail, the trees and the woodpile

It was a great day.  About 75º F.  The wild flowers are starting to bloom early.  A few bluebonnets here and there.  The trees are getting leaves.  It has greened up in just a few days.  I hope the flowers last a long time!

I was wondering if they were real since they were sitting so erect. Nice sketch! It is always good to find a new spot to sketch.

We had nice weather...sunny and about 62 degrees, but very windy. Not quite a day to sit outside unless you could really hold onto your belongings.
