Hunt 100 not 100 items! I did find several and put them together for a quick pastel sketch. I used a new piece of the Lux Archival paper, 8 x 10 inches. I found the items, put on an alcohol under painting of the base colors. I sketched with various pastels for about an hour and 15 minutes all together.
For Scavenger Hunt 100 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-100-jan-21-jan-28.6506/Numbers 1 - 5 : jar, blue/book, cup (measuring), yellow, egg
I was also doing a bit of homework for Enid's class. Today is "High Chroma Accents". I think the red on the book and table might count. We shall see.
The deadline for the Austin Pastel Annual Juried Show is Sunday. Have you entered? I have not. It is just too difficult at this time to paint, frame, deliver, etc., and deal with everyday chores at my age. I don't have the umph to work on deadlines and rules.
Natasha Isenhour will be the judge. We met her in Red River a few years ago. Great artist. She is from Socorro, New Mexico, almost home! Maybe I will get to see her while she is here in March.

And here is the setup for my sketch.

This came out really super. I like the highlights on the jar and the edge of the measuring cup. Looks like a keeper.
Thanks, Joan. I like it, too. Not very happy with the egg. I may work on it a bit more or more likely a good photo and wipe it off. Ha. I like the paper a lot. Nice and flat for the lines and under painting.
That's good!
ashok, thanks. I've enjoyed your trip to Thailand! Thanks for sharing all the photos.
So pretty
R's Rue, thank you so much!!
