It is amazing how much you forget in such a short time. I hadn't picked up a pen and sketchbook for a week and look what happens. My ellipses and foreshortening went away. Yikes!
Let's blame it on the deep freeze. We are much better off than most but it is still cold. It is 18.3ºF on the rain gauge and has been all morning. We had a bit of moisture so have some frosty ice on the trees, grass and sidewalk, but not too bad.
I sat at the dining table to sketch which should make my sketching better than balancing my sketchbook some place. But ....

Number 1 mustard - a couple of small gift jars. The onion one is from last year, no one ate it so it is now in the trash. The cranberry from this year is better and will probably be eaten. No promises. They are small, like 1/4 cup or less in each, like samples.
Number 2 jingle bells - the metal wall hanging that is red, white and blue.
Hope you are faring well in this cold arctic air. We are freezing until tomorrow afternoon, but not expecting any more moisture. We should have 65 or so on Thursday and then settle to the 50s, more normal for us.
It will be TV and some indoor exercise for us. Comfort food.

Sounds like you're a bit colder than here. I went out earlier and the temp that registered in the car was about 27. I think Jerry said it was 18 when he got up. I took down the tree and then decided I had to get out for a while. I ended up in a Starbucks sketching...not my favorite place, but it was warm and comfortable.
Joan, Hi there. Hard to believe that it is colder here in Texas than NY. Happy you got your tree down and got to sketch. Hi five!!
Stay warm
R's Rue, we are warm and safe .... so far. :-)
