I might put away the Christmas stuff soon so thought I'd better check the list for anything on the Hunt. Poinsettia is on the list. We don't keep live poinsettias because of the granddogs. They are supposed to be poisonous. I have a couple of bunches of silk poinsettias that I stick in our plant for decorating. I love red as you well know.
I had a little 5 x 7 sketch of apples in glass so I wiped that off and sketched the poinsettias with pastels on the Pastelbord. Total time about 20 minutes.

Hope your Christmas was as good as ours. It is so nice to spend time with our kiddos. We got a Christmas card with photos of our great grandsons from Christy. Owen, the four year old, drew a pickle and a dolphin on the edge. He told Christy that "everyone loves pickles and they just have to have one!" Love that kid! He has lots of good stories.

I really like the way this looks with the glow to the red. Your grandson sounds like a wise child to think that everyone would like a pickle and a dolphin. Who can argue with that logic?
