Quiet Tree Sketch with Gingerbread

As you can imagine all the crowd has left and it is extremely quiet around here.  I decided to catch up on my blog.  I did another sketch on Christmas day I think.  Brandon brought cookies for everyone.  Mine were gluten free and regular cookies.  I sketched Larry's  I think.  Gene had a Santa but it was gone quickly. They were all well done and about 5 inches long so a good two regular cookies.

Number 4 gingerbread - sketched at my footstool with some markers.  We had out several brands of markers and I did the sketch twice in the Ohuhu sketchbook.  I liked the first one better but I put in an awful background so you get this one.

I sketched on the footstool again today.  It was quiet and  lonely this morning.  I sketched in the BookFactory sketchbook with a Micron 08.

Number 5 chocolate - a small box that was in a gift basket from Kathy and Dan.  Not bad but we have so many choices these weren't touched until last night.
Number 6 tree - the small tree that sits on the counter.  It is getting very bedraggled.  Actually both trees are.  We may do away with both of them and go for one small nice tree next year. We shall see, there are so many decorations for our big tree and I didn't put them all on this year.

Little tree

Big tree....

We had a cute story about two of the greatgrandsons.  A few weeks ago our granddaughter told them that they should give some of their toys to charity so that some kids that weren't going to get presents might get some.  They picked out some and took them to the charity shop.  A week or so later their grandmother took them to the charity shop to go shopping for their granddad and not spend so much money.  They picked out a truck and a firetruck for him.   When our granddaughter saw the gifts, she laughed.  They were the ones the boys had donated.  They did like them and unknowingly bought them back for their granddad.

That's a funny story about the grandkids purchases. I love the way the gingerbread cookie came out in the cellophane wrapper. I have some nice markers and never seem to pull them out to use them. Maybe they need to be kept with my couch art supplies.

Joan, those kids are something. I didn't know how many pens/markers I have. A whole grocery tote bag full when I went to put them away. Yikes!
