Well, sort of a mechanical hand. I sketched my hand holding a mechanical pencil and a regular pencil. I sketched in the BookFactory sketchbook at my desk. I go for handy and easy. I have sketched my hand many times for the Scavenger Hunts. I have to remind myself sometimes that we have been doing the Hunts since 2006. Yikes!!

Number 2 mechanical - a mechanical pencil and Number 3 non-mechanical, a regular drawing pencil with no eraser.
I'm about to finish the pastel I mentioned. The problem is that after I stop for more than a day, I lose the enthusiasm. Maybe I will wipe it off and do it over and see if I like it more. I lost some of the distance with too intense color in the background. I am painting aspens. I'm using a couple of photos and memory for the scene.
A do-over sounds like a good plan. I will post all the photos when I finish and you can see my plan and results.
