Once I get going in pastel, well..... the dust flies!
I did sketch in the BookFactory sketchbook last night with the Ohuhu .2 pen/marker. These are for Scavenger Hunt 91 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-91-nov-10-nov-18.6205/
Number 4 funnel - a small one with the challenge of holding it in my hand.
This morning I played in the dust. Apple was on the list and I can't resist painting red apples. For the scavenger hunts we paint from life so I went for this today.
Number 5 apple, well two apples and working on my transparency as well. On a wiped off Pastelbord, 5 x 7 inches. I just wiped it off and did not wet it down. I didn't want to wait for it to dry! Interesting that I wiped off apples to paint more apples.
Pastelbord is very durable. The factory is in Buda, Texas. https://ampersandart.com/ They have many types of boards for watercolor, scratchboard, frames and more. Pastelbord can be washed off under the faucet and let to dry. It doesn't care much for alcohol but water is fine. I like watercolor under paintings on the white board.
And the setup.
I did this quickly in about an hour all together. My work is much better .. I think .. when I don't fuss over it. If I would frame this I would make a few corrections, but over all I like it!! Have I said I like to paint apples??
