A few years ago "something that pinches" was on the list and I thought of pliers. eyepaint on the Hunts drew her fingers so that is now my "go to" when anything like that is on the list.
For Scavenger Hunt 88 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-88-oct-17-oct-25.6124Number 3 something that pinches - my fingers, sketched in the bookFactory sketchbook with a Micron 02. Fingers always have a bit of a different pose so you always paint something different.
Also for Inktober Day 21 chains
Also on the same page of the sketchbook. I had a hard time with the twisted one. I shudda drew with a pencil first, but you know me ... muddle through.Sketching with a pen is good for me. I like to be down and done for one thing. Also if I'm concentrating it helps me to see and mark correctly the first time. This is helpful in my painting, especially plein air (outside direct painting), as you need to be quick before the light changes. I can look and then put down an accurate stroke on my canvas or paper. Practice trains the eyes and fingers.
I recommend sketching daily or as often as you can. Thanks to Sue Modrak, my Michigan painting buddy.
A few of our good times together:
