Inktober is almost over. I'm always excited to do it and it isn't too hard as I sketch almost every day anyway. But by the end of the month I'm having some trouble. Maybe it is the prompts. You don't have to stick to their prompts, but it is a challenge for me to do the "evil" ones especially.
Inktober Day 27 Beast
From a photo on the internet in the BookFactory sketchbook with a Micron 03 pen.
I was feeling like color and didn't want to take my easel to the porch. I chose watercolor to work with. I always need practice with that.
For Scavenger Hunt 89 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-89-oct-25-nov-2.6141/
Numbers 2 fruit, 3 cloth and 4 brick.
A couple of small pears on a bandana on the window sill. I have used bandanas for barbecue napkins. They are bigger than regular napkins and easy to wash and colorful. This is in the Canson large mix media sketchbook with watercolors, Micron 03 pen and Gelly Roll white pen.
We are trying to take advantage of the porch in the mornings and have the door open a while. It will be 86 or so today and next week the highs will be in the low 60s. Not looking forward to that. I like the warm weather.
We were laughing about that the other day. We would get to Angel Fire and the mornings would be in the 40s or 50s with a high of about 80-85º. We would sit out on the porch and happily drink our coffee with our jackets on. Not any more. Age has arrived and the blood has thinned I guess. We will probably have to turn the heater on. Sigh....

Nice sketch of the beasts. Love the sketch with the bandanas! So colorful. Great idea to use them for napkins.
Thanks, Joan. Inktober prompts were probably thinking of some horrible beast but I tried to get a more "normal" beast. I've never been around oxen or work animals so don't know how they are. I had fun with the watercolor for a change.
