Today was art with no pressure. On CreativeSpark one of the August prompts was "whimsical". I thought of my doodles or Joodles. I did these in the Book Factory sketchbook on the back side. I posted them on the thread on CreativeSpark.art. https://creativespark.art/threads/monthly-art-prompts-august-2023.5841/
The other prompts are "urban" and "primative". If you sketch or paint from the prompts let me know.
Then this morning I was thinking about the watercolor window from Thursday and decided to do "my" window in blue. I made it all up. I see now that I should have had the window sill inside like in real adobe houses where with the thick walls, you can use the ledge for a window seat. I loved that in the old house we had in Magdalena. I would sit in the window and watch the "traffic" go by. Maybe two cars a night.
It was almost fun to do the watercolor even if it wasn't exactly what I imagined. I'm not skilled enough with them to get the design of the painting. With pastels I try to have a focal point, make the corners different and a composition to lead the eye around the painting. With the watercolors, I am working on how much water, blooms, making mud, etc. I thought this wasn't too bad until I realized I had the sill backwards. I will show you the painting anyhoo..... It was practice and no pressure.

Fun to see you create another window view. Your Joodles are so cute!!! They remind me a little of zentangles. Fun!!
Thanks, Joan. I guess they are Zentangles, I just named them to be "mine".
Have a creative week !
