Hunting 78s

Scavenger Hunt 78 is underway as you know.  I hunted a few items and sketched in the BookFactory sketchbook with a Micron 02  -- in the living room and on the porch.

Number 2 from the kitchen counter - an individual blender small and handy.  Thanks to Mary.

Number 3 used for cooking - a small 1lb can of Crisco.  The size we use to make biscochitos at Christmas.
Number 4 water view - over the west lake

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 78

It was nice to just sketch in ink with no pressure to come up with a masterpiece or have a plan.  The Crisco could have been for blue as well because the label is mostly blue.

Nice sketches. I like the can of crisco. It reminds me of my mom cooking. At one time she used a lot of it and I think she used it for her pie crusts too. How is your heat? We finally cooled off a bit...only in the low to mid 80s today.

Hi Joan, thank you so very much. Crisco reminds me of old days, too. I don't use in in general anymore. The one pound can fits the recipe of the Christmas cookies and I bought a second can hoping to make some of the biscochitos separate from Christmas and didn't. Then the other day I was out of oil and decided I'd better open and use this can!

Jo your sketches are as always a delight to see. Crisco makes a yellow buttery color as well (bet it is full of food color). I think the blue the substance looks white...all tastes the same I am sure. Hope you are staying cool. Hugs!
