Dusty apples, referring to painting/sketching them with pastels. Always good to play in the (pastel) dust. First this morning, though, we were on the porch with our coffee and egg sandwiches so I sketched out there.

Number 1 Found right next to you - a little watercolor sketch kit. The water brush is in two pieces you screw together. Very handy. Probably about 30 minutes in Ohuhu sketchbook with a Micron 03 and the watercolors in the set.
In my studio I played in the dust.
Number 2, crunchy - apple
Number 3, In slices
Number 4, a cutting implement - knife
Sketched on a wiped off piece of Pastelbord about 12 x 12 inches. It had the margarita setup from a while back. https://jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/2023/01/pastel-margarita-time.html I used a variety of pastels, also about 30 minutes.
When I sketch I try not to get into detail and perfection. I save perfection for paintings, right?
My studio needs to be straightened up. You can see the clutter in this small area and imagine the whole room and closet. It is always good to have some blank paper or canvas at the ready. I rarely do that. I'm pretty sure enthusiasm is lost when I have to go hunting for my tools to work with. It's the procrastinator in me ..... one of these days.
