Digi Books

Yesterday found me sketching on my iPad while watching TV.  I used the app, Brushes, and my fingers and Apple pencil.  I like trying the digital sketching once in a while.  Because I don't do it often, it usually takes longer than when I use a pen or pastels.

For Scavenger Hunt 54  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-54-jan-18%E2%80%9326-2023.5063/

Number 4, stack of books - on the coffee table.  The top spiral book is Gene's journal from our summer in 2004.  Joanna printed it from his blog for a dear friend.  He passed away and the book was returned to us.  So nice.  It was a job of love for Joanna to edit and fit the blog and photos into printable pages.  That took a while!

There is a photo album and actually a coffee table book on the bottom  ... at least I think there is.  I left out another pile of books next to that one!

I finished an Acrostics puzzle book that Jennie gave me for Christmas 2 years ago.  I received a replacement in my Santa gift from Brandon this year.  Perfect timing, eh?  He also gave me a shelf to organize my pens for art.  I don't have many on there yet, but it is a start.  Thanks, Brandon.  Joanna put it together for me a few days ago.  Thanks, Joanna.

I'm still working on the Austin Pastel donations.  It is interesting but takes a lot of time for about 6 weeks.  I'm out of practice for organizing and having deadlines!

There is still time for you to enter the show, 2023 juried show, CELEBRATE PASTELS!  The entry deadline is 11:59pm on Saturday, January 28.  Info on the Austin Pastel Society page:  https://www.austinpastelsociety.org

I like your shelf for organizing your pens. Mine are just stuffed in plastic take-out containers. lol How nice that Joanna made a book from Gene's journal. That must have taken a long time to do. It is nice that it was returned to you.

Joan, the shelf is nice. I have different sets of different sizes or colors that are together that aren't on the shelf. I guess I'll keep them that way. Not sure. I usually take one of those when I go out.
Joanna is a super daughter!

Jo your digital art is super. I have never explored working with this medium. Adore your shelf for your pens. Such a great place to organize art supplies. Hope you are enjoying Jan. Hugs!

Debbie, thank you. I started sketching on Gene's first iPhone years ago. For the Hunt's I try not to use the "undo" very much so they stay a sketch. An artist can really get into detail - pixel by pixel. I'm a lazy sketcher.

That little shelf looks like a small version of what people have in their entry-ways or laundry rooms. It looks like it is quite handy. I could use some organizers :)

bag blog, that would be a good style for a closet. I still have lots of room in it, haven't added any more writing tools. Soon.....
