Gloves is on the new Scavenger Hunt from Life list. Sketching in pastels was my comfort zone today. Sometimes the pastel dust is addictive.....
For Hunt 54 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-54-jan-18%E2%80%9326-2023.5063/
Number 3 gloves - pastel on the reused blue paper. About 20 minutes sketching time. Gene had these gloves on his tool chest. Are they for golf? Maybe hockey? They have faux leather for the white part and the black is cloth for circulation at the knuckles. They seem a little heavy for golf but have velcro closures on the wrist. Hmmmm.
We have a quiet day here. We will go get Gene some new glasses ordered. He put his last prescription in his old frames and the bifocal part was right in the middle of his eye. He will get larger lenses, that should help. With is two different "eyes" he has trouble reading and using the computer. He will try covering the "bad" eye when reading or on the computer.
Hope your day is good.

It’s important to note that those are fingerless gloves. Otherwise, they look like they are for folks who have VERY short fingers. :-) When I saw the post title I thought you were going to be talking about painting in gloves to keep the pastels off your skin. Ha! Nice sketch-painting.
— Joanna.
Ha, Joanna. These are not the fingerless ones that he uses for his trike rides. It is the angle I drew them that makes them look short. Not sure where they came from. Maybe when we played golf in the cold weather. Ha. Thanks for commenting.
nice looking gloves, possibly golf clubs. no ideas though, golf is boring lol
Like Joanna, I thought you bought gloves for doing pastels. It could happen. I need a whole trash sack over me to keep the pastel dust off. I get it all over me.
Thanks, bag blog. I have been using the nurses gloves I bought during the pandemic. Good to use them for something. I never liked wearing gloves to paint but these aren't bad. Sometimes I still use the liquid gloves. I do get pastel all over, too. Love playing in the dust, though.
I like the gloves...whatever they are for. I hate wearing gloves for anything...even cleaning.
Joan, thank you. I'm with you on wearing gloves, even when it is cold. I did find some "nurses" latex gloves that fit well and use them for pastel painting - when I remember. I usually just use liquid gloves, it is like lotion and works pretty well.
Nice art of the glove
ashok, thank you. A challenge in perspective with hands and gloves.
Your pastel work is always lovely. Wonderful subject. So amazing how the ordinary can make a great piece of art. Hugs!
Hi Debbie, thanks so much. The Scavenger Hunts have made me look at many subjects that I never would have. :-)
Jenifer Rose, the best part of golf is the pretty golf courses and walking. We never took it very serious. Don't play anymore. Do miss it on a pretty spring day! Thanks.
