Solitude

The family and grand dogs are gone.  It is very quiet and we are in solitude, just Gene and I.  I suppose you could say we are back to normal.

I sketched Reese quickly at the table like I did Chewie, but she is so black that you can't tell which way is which if her eyes aren't open or her mouth.  She is a cutie, about 8 months old, maybe.

 For Scavenger Hunt 51, I''m hosting.  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-51-dec-25-2022-jan-2-2023.4941/

Number 1 (I put number 2 on the sketch) Something I like - Reese
Sketched in the ArtStreet sketchbook with the Pilot ball point pen and a Micron 02.  I should have zoomed in more, maybe  but she is that black.

This might give you a clue of how black she is.  They are sure a cute pair.  Chewie and Reese

We had a very cold 2 nights and days, but it is 55 degrees F today and should be in the high 70s for the New Year celebrations.  It a way that is bad because fireworks will be overdone and are so dangerous.

We did have a great time with our family, New Mexico food and fun.

Shoot, I just remembered when I typed food that I had sketched the biscochitos in a big Tupperware container that this is sketch #2.  Here is #1,  fruitcake - I subbed the cookies as we had no fruitcake either.  This is on the page with Chewie's sketch, abourt half a page.

Will my brain work better in this solitude?  Perhaps not.  Ha.

Cookies and doggies make good subject for sketching!

Joan, thank you. I intended to do the dogs again before they left.

I love the sketch of Chewie. He looks a bit like a fur ball.

Bag Blog, both doggies are worthless but so cute. Do nothing but sleep, play and eat. Jennie took them out a couple of days ago and a lady said to her, "Oh, you have such cute poodles!" Not really. Ha.
