Time flies at my age. 50 Hunts, that is about a years worth. Wow!
We put up the tree yesterday afternoon after I did this sketch. I put about half the decorations I usually do. We don't plan anything outside this year. Too hard to move around, get on ladders, etc. We will have some of our Austin family starting tomorrow. It will be fun to have folks around. We will have a hard freeze Thursday night through Saturday morning. They don't expect there to be any moisture with it so hopefully no ice storm.
Jennie will bring the grand-dogs and we will do all the New Mexico food preparations. Such good times ahead.
I sketched yesterday morning while we had toasted waffles, leftovers. After that we wrapped the outside faucets for the cold weather and put the tree up. Oh, in between we went to Paige and had lunch with Joanna. Nice to see her and have some good food at The Roadhouse. https://roadhousepaige.com/ There is one in Bastrop, but it is smaller and we use it more for take out. The Roadhouse in Paige is about a mile farther from our house.

Number 1 delicious - the waffles with cream cheese and peanut butter. Gene adds jelly, too. I'm happy with not so sweet! Micron 02 and watercolor.
Hope your holiday preparations are going well.

Ah Jo it sounds like Christmas will be wonderful at your place. Love the sketch of the red plate with the waffles and cream cheese and peanut butter. Please take care and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hugs!
I’ve never tried cream cheese on waffles. Hmmm.
- Joanna.
Have a Merry Christmas
I'm glad you got your tree up. I stopped putting any decorations outside a few years ago. Now I just hang my wreath. I also didn't put all my ornaments on my tree...and thank goodness it is prelit and easy to put up. Nice that you were able to meet Joanna for lunch. Enjoy your company!!
Debbie, thank you. Looking forward to being with family.
Joanna, you need to try the cream cheese and peanut butter!
R's Rue, thanks. Same back to you.
Joan, yep, we usually put up the tree at least a week earlier. Pretty slow this year. I finally had just one string of lights to put on. And like you, half the ornaments.
Ready for Christmas ? :)
ashok, we think we are ready. Visiting the grocery store this morning. That will take a while.
Good ! We will be visiting my in laws and my parents this Christmas !
ashok, that sounds great. Time goes by so quickly. Have a great time. Thanks.
