I'd better get back at my sketching! I took a few days off. It is good to practice to keep limber in case I try to paint. When you don't do art consistently you forget how.
I sketched at the table in the Art Street sketchbook with a couple of Zig Millennium 05 pens.

Number 2 it is found in the bathroom - a couple of hand towels hanging in the laundry/bathroom. The one says "I'm outdoorsey, in that I like drinking on the patio." And the other is from El Arroyo, "90% of marriage is just shouting 'what' from different rooms."
You can see more fun from El Arroyo on facebook or their website. They have the billboard outside the restaurant in Austin and change it daily or at least very often. We've never eaten there.
I had an interesting medical thing. I needed to get my sinus drained on my left side to clear the way for some dental work. I had to be put to sleep so Joanna had to drive us. They had to intubate me to do it so that they keep your lungs clear. They hadn't made that clear to me. I expected to be 100% the next day. It took about a day for my jaws to unclench! Still a stuffed up head. I don't recommend the procedure unless you just really need to do that! The doctor was delayed as well so the procedure that was supposed to be 3 hours start to finish was about 6 hours. But it is done and I can continue my dental work soon.
Yesterday while recuperating I watched a DVD by Richard McKinley. That was inspiring. Hopefully a pastel soon.....

Glad you told what the writing on the towels said. I was trying to enlarge the photo and then noticed your text. lol That procedure does not sound like fun. Hope the dental work is easier!
Joan, thanks so much. The towels are neat. I’m better today. I had no idea it would take two weeks or so for the recovery. I never thought to ask. Dingy me. Anyway no fun. It was good to put pens to paper.
Oh Jo hope you are feeling better. Sounds like quite a procedure to go through for dental work. What cute sketches. The quotes made me smile. I have a book br Richard McKinney. Love his work. Take care friend. Hugs!
Hey Jo for some reason my comments were from anonymous...now I am finally showing...google is sometimes not always working on my phone🙄
Debbie, hi there. It doesnt help when I don't take care of my incoming messages at all. Thanks for your comments. McKinley is definitely a favorite. I'm definitely asking more questions next doctor!!
Gosh! I hate that it was a difficult experience, but I am glad it is over and hope you can get better each day.
bag blog, It wouldn't have been so bad if I had been prepared. I'm doing well now and can pretty much talk again. Check up next week. Thanks for checking in.
