I wasn't in a sketchy mood the other morning so decided to do another watercolor of the fish I mentioned last post. The photo has a lot more seaweed and details, the fish appears to be in a fish tank.
This is watercolor in the 9 x 12 Canson watercolor sketchbook. I used the Ohuhu water brushes.
I sketched in the regular paper sketchbook for the Scavenger Hunt from Life 37B.
Number 2, sounds wonderful - CDs by our favorites: Byrd and Street and George Ensle.
Today I sketched in this book again with Micron 08 and colored pencils. I did do some of the lines with pencil first. I don't usually do that, but lots of lines!
Number 3, lots of lines
Now back to procrastinating.......

The fish turned out very nice. And I like the blanket on the chair. I'm glad you called the other day. It is always good to hear your voice, even when the news is not so good.
Love the fish!!! Rocking chairs are hard to do. The curves on the rockers always gets me. lol
bag blog, thank you. We need new furniture for sketching. Ha. It is always good to visit with you.
Joan, thank you so much. Chairs are hard. The perspective is difficult. I need to measure and use vanishing points but for a sketch.....naw!!
very colourful beta fish
Your fish is lovely in the watercolor and that rocking chair looks like a very comfy seat. Love how you explore so many different subjects. Hope you are having a good September. Hugs!
Hi, Jennifer Rose. Thanks.
Debbie, thank you. My subjects come mostly from the Scavenger Hunt lists, of course, I sometimes make the sketch fit the list! September has my birthday so always good .. except the getting older part.
