Hunting a Tail and Dish

All these years of sketching our common items means I have sketched things over and over.  I've used different media and sketchbooks and turned some sketches into paintings.  I  actually do a Scavenger Hunt to find new items.  Traveling helped of course to find new roof lines and landscapes.  I was trying to find a different "tail" yesterday and a new "dish" today.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 37  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-37-august-26-september-4.4370/

Number 3, has a tail - a stuffed monkey.  I'm pretty sure I've sketched this before, but it has been a while.  This monkey lives in the bedroom.  Sketched in the regular sketchbook with a Micron 02.

Number 4, dish and Number 5, screwdriver - I didn't think I had sketched this bowl before but after I started I'm pretty sure I have.  The screwdriver hangs on the door in the garage closet, not as interesting as some but the handiest.  Sketched in the regular sketchbook with a Micron 02 and colored pencil added after.

A photo of the items and book.  Our sketcher Ai, in Thailand, often posts pictures of her scene and sketch.  Interesting to see Thailand through her eyes.

After I saw the sketch here on  my blog I decided I could make the bowl a bit rounder.  Didn't work on it too long but I think it is better.

You can always add or correct on any drawing.  Sometimes the finished product never is "right".  These Hunt items are supposed to be quick sketches so I didn't want to spend too much time on it or .... do it again.

Whatever you did made the bowl look rounder. Nice! If you had two screwdrivers you could almost use them as chopsticks. lol That monkey is so cute and I love his texture.

That is a cute bowl. I'm in to that sort of thang these days. The Monkey tail is good. I don't remember seeing it before, but that is the beauty of getting old - things are new again.

bag blog, seeing old things with new memories can be handy. I'm just hoping I will remember the good times and forget the bad times. :-) Thanks.
