This morning I found several items out on the porch for the Hunt. I took out the Canson 9 x 12 inch sketchbook with regular paper in it. I used the Micron 03 pen to sketch with, always my fastest method. As you know I sketch directly with no under sketch in pencil. If I pay attention my perspective can be pretty good. I give myself a B grade today.

Number 2, the second of lighting devices - the long light Gene uses for reading at night.
Number 3, the third of lighting devices - the lamp on the brick wall, which was an outside wall, now on the porch.
Number 4, 5 and 6 - three different body parts - Gene's hand, foot and ear
We can't do much because of the heat, which seems to be a problem almost everywhere this year. They expect to break the record from about 10 years ago for having 90 days of 100 degrees or better in a row. I remember the parks in New Mexico were all closed for fire danger and there were many forest fires. There were a few fires here from fireworks this year. What do people think?? Or don't think I guess.
We went to take our trash and get some ice cream this midday. It was pretty warm out there. We ate our ice cream at Fisherman's Park. I should have sketched, but we just relaxed a bit and took the back way home. Gene remarked that the long winding road home may not be the best idea at $4.10+ for gasoline.
Here are some of the dry photos from 2011.
In March 2011 at the State Park Golf course, trees died and had to be taken down.

was really hot here today too, got a bit too much sun lol
Jennifer, thank you. I try on hands. Take care in the sun.
I haven't done much for this hunt. I don't know why. I'm up with the next one soon...gotta get my thinking hat on.
Sometimes it’s hard to get started, sometimes life gets in the way. Thanks for stopping in.
I hope you’re having a wonderful day my friend.
Right back at you, R's Rue!
Jo I think your sketches in pen and ink are superb! I generally jump right in with ink and forget the pencil. Seems to me that it appears more fresh somehow. Oh my I know it is dry here but it really looks dry in your part of the world.
We are fortunate to have received a bit of rain last week and my garden seems to be doing alright thus far. Still more is needed - hope we get some again soon. Hope you do too! Hugs!
Hi Debbie, thanks. The photos are from past years. I'm hoping it doesn't get that dry this year but they think we many have 3 months of 100 degrees plus and if we do, it will probably look like that. Thanks for stopping by. Hope we all get rain.
