I took a break from sketching and art for a few days. We had an adventure with the car over the weekend. On Thursday when we went to the eye doctor the car wouldn't start or turn on correctly. It has a computer, a push button to start it and a knob for a gear shift. All the dash and the buttons were flashing and the steering wheel was not locked but no buttons would react to the touch. Couldn't shut it off or on or nada. We called the Ford place and they said to have it towed. I had thought maybe there was a reset button like on a modem or something. No such luck.
We sat a few more minutes thinking about who to call. I looked and all things appeared to be shut off. I pushed the start button and there it went. All normal. Hmmmm. We drove home and made an appointment to take the car in yesterday. We drove it on the weekend with no problems.
We took the car in yesterday at 9:00am and waited. After a couple of hours they asked if we wanted a ride home and they would come and pick us up later in the afternoon. So ... we are still waiting.
I sketched quickly as I thought we would be leaving at any minute. I sketched in the 9 x 12 sketchbook with a new Micron 02.

Number 2, more than two legs - counting the walker as legs with wheels attached and Gene's feet. Joanna always takes a photo of her feet when she is waiting for her car to be serviced, so I did as well.
Number 1, something made of glass - the wall between the waiting room and the show room.
I just called the Ford place and the mechanic/tech working on our car doesn't get there until 9, which is now, and they will call me back. Hmmm.
We are still waiting to get the Starlink connected as well. Fingers crossed on both.
Waiting........

All the electrical and computer stuff on cars these days! the other day, I went with my art buddy, Barb, on a little road trip to the Davis Blevins Gallery in St. Jo. We took Barb's new hybrid Lexus - so very fancy with its huge screen/GPS thing. We used my phone for directions, of course.
Bag Blog, of course! More fancy things, more to go wrong! Gene says we bought the extra insurance for that. Ha. Nice to have a road trip!
