Oops Two More Sketches

I thought I had finished Scavenger Hunt 19 which ends today.  Last night while Gene was watching the news I played in the watercolors.  Bucket was on the list for Scavenger Hunt 19 and I thought it would be fun.  I put on some wet watercolor and then put some crinkled plastic wrap over it and let it dry until it had the marks which look a little like a galvanized metal bucket.  I wish I had made the color darker to start with so the crinkles would show more on the light side of the bucket.

For Scavenger Hunt 19 Number 11, bucket.  Watercolor in the 9 x 12 Canson watercolor sketchbook.

I sketched at the PT place this morning in the regular paper 9 x 12 inch sketchbook with a Sharpie pen.  Number 12, wall.  Actually a peek at 3 walls, outer on the edge, inner office and back office.

This morning Gene went to his last physical therapy for about 6 weeks.  He is having eye surgery on Monday for cataracts.  They are starting on the left eye and then a couple of weeks later they will do the other.  He will have to do stretches and light walking at home, being careful not to strain or bump his eye.  So no falling either!!

Now I can say Scavenger Hunt 19 is finished and get on with the names of Texas towns.  Here's the list if you want to sketch with us.

Amarillo (Yellow)

Bangs

Blossom

Blanco (white)

Bells

Cactus

Cool

Cottonwood

Cove

Crane
Earth

Groom

Hooks

Junction

Jolly

Meadow

Orange

Orchard

Mercedes

Post

Tool

The list is one word names of a few Texas towns.   Interpret as you see fit.  Associate or substitute. Have fun.

It's baseball day, but we are not driving to Austin.  We will watch the Horns play Stephen F. Austin on the Longhorn network.  You can check out the game at https://texassports.com/sports/baseball

Ooh..I like the galvanized bucket! The design from the saran wrap shows enough. I'll have to print out the new list. Jerry had his pre-op visit today and luckily it was early enough that I had most of the day to go out shopping and sketching. He has to go for his covid test on Friday. I was hoping that with some of the restrictions lifted they wouldn't need to do it, but he's still scheduled.

hopefully the surgery goes well!

Jennifer Rose, thank you. Hopefully it is a "routine" cataract thing. Thinking of you as well.

Nice bucket. You can always get darker with the watercolor. I hope Gene's eye surgery goes well. Usually, those things are pretty simple.

bag blog, thank you. Gene is anxious for his surgery. Watercolor may be simple for you. Ha.

Joan, I missed your comment. Sorry. From what bag blog said, I could darken and put the plastic on the bucket again. I didn't think of that. We will both be at the clinics on Monday with surgeries. I will be thinking of you and hope to sketch something while waiting. They say we will need to wear masks but no other restrictions. One visitor. Joanna was going to go with us. Oh, well.

Jo mentioned that I was watching the "news", that is not true as I was watching a news program which I have done all my adult life but it get more difficult so I watch several different programs that purport to be news programs when in fact they are all just propaganda that one has to pretty much cringe. But I swatch and just wonder what happened over the years. I do watch FOX more that any other of the "news" program because they do try to report some news.

Thanks, Gene, for keeping up for us. The “news” is pretty much opinions.
