Lazy Susan Challenge

We had an interesting challenge on the Scavenger Hunt from Life put up by Sue.   She suggested for the challenge, that we draw what was in front of us.  Then turn and draw what was to our left, turn and draw what was to our right and then what was behind us.  We would end up with about a 360 degree view.  I commented that I did not have a lazy susan chair for this project.

I walked down the road from Gene's PT location to the office buildings with the benches in front.  This would afford me sort of a lazy susan seat.  The benches face each other under a roof sort of like a bus stop.  I will try to remember to get a photo.

I sketched in the 9 x 12 regular paper (doesn't take watercolor) sketchbook with the Sharpie pen.  I sketched the view to the left and in front of me.  Then moved to the other side and sketched what had been behind me and to my right.  Are you confused yet?

Number 1 to my left, Number 2 in front of me.

 Number 3, to my right

 Number 4, behind me.

On creativespark.art there is a water media challenge every month with some photos.  I think I'll work on one of those and do something new.

Your 360 view sketches look great. I'll have to give that a go the next time I'm outside sketching. I always forget about the water media challenge.

Joan, thanks so much. You don’t need a challenge to do beautiful watercolors. I’m smiling.
