The Scavenger Hunt from Life 16 is ending today and the new one is starting. The switch seems to be coming faster all the time.
I sketched in the Canson watercolor sketchbook, 9 x 12 inches, with Prismacolor Premier permanent markers. The good news is that I didn't get any ink on me or the car. (I was waiting for Gene at physical therapy.) It was a little dark when I started so that is the reason for any mistakes or weirdness, right? I added hands and with wheels as a bonus with the Pilot ball point pen.
Number 10, green - Markers do not blend and you only have so many colors. Maybe next time I should take the gray markers I got when I bought these. Might help at least for the pavement! I had no gray, light brown or light blue.

Katherine Tyrrell in England has been my art encyclopedia for years. She is an amazing artist and explores so many subjects in art and art business. One of her blogs that I follow is Making A Mark. From the main blog she has links to "how to" and "how come". If you haven't ever looked at her volumes of info, now may be the time.
Katherine's latest post is about using zoom for art societies and it could apply to other organizations. I'm not fond of on line groups mainly because our internet is so bad and expensive. She makes some excellent points about how you can learn and get together from many miles apart compared to an in person meeting. I will read this again and try to get my mind into believing that looking at your face on my screen is as good as seeing you live in front of me. Hope this is helpful for you as well.

I've never used markers much...they just don't blend. lol That doesn't work for me.
Gosh...I haven't visited Katherine Tyrrell's blog in eons. I used to read it a lot. I don't know how/why I stopped. I will have to check her out again. Thanks for the reminder.
Joan, markers aren’t a favorite here either. If you don’t have heavy paper they bleed, too.
And Katherine is amazing. She needed several replacements and waited over a year for the first one. Very dedicated.
The markers remind me of my grandson, Titus. He is an amazing little artist. He draws all the time - mostly Mario Brothers. He paints pretty well too. Recently, his dad made him draw something different. So he sketched Degas dancers. Then his dad handed him colored pencils to color them. They look a lot like your sky. They don't really blend. He still got an honorable mention at the Youth Art Show.
bag blog, I remember Titus drawing as a toddler. Bet he is really good now. Congrats for him at the Art Show! The non blending can make you think. With time you can make thin lines or dots with different colors to get gray or darker colors.
