Scavenger Hunt from life Number 7 is well underway. I have been lazy, nothing new there, right?
I'm sketching in different media and sketchbooks. Interesting to me. I was pretty stuck in the big book which is finished by the way. Gifted it back to Jennie. She was surprised and with all the Christmas stuff around she didn't notice it was missing from the coffee table. Fun.
At about 2/3 of the way in July 2020:

The start:

Started off for this Hunt on December 28.
Number 1, family - Gene of course. He is such a nice model. Never complains ... unless I make him too fat or too skinny. Ha. With a regular old ball point pen in a travel Canson mix media sketchbook. He hasn't seen this yet. It doesn't look much like him. Sigh....
Number 2, nature - on the porch again with a Sharpie pen and the new Blick gray markers. Red was a Prismacolor probably.
Number 3, figures - at the Roadhouse on the Deck. Sharpie pen in the small travel sketchbook. I was in the mobile studio (car, that is Joan Tavolott's description of her car) and had to wait. Unusual for orders that we phone in. They came and collected payment and then forgot me. I started this sketch thinking there would just be the people in a 5 minute sketch. Just kept sketching and did the next one as well. Woke up out of my sketching and realized I had been there over half an hour. Called in and "oops! we forgot .. it is ready." Good thing it was just a salad, fries and a milkshake for Gene and not something like a burger. I warmed the potatoes again. I like fries with a salad, you should try it sometime.
Number 4, building and Number 5, heavy - the little building by the restaurant. Always something different, seems to be a health food/vitamin store at the moment. Heavy is the van whose occupants were in the restaurant, Roadhouse.
Painting today for the Austin Pastel show. I wasn't going to paint but decided to as they don't have an abundance of paintings. Trying to take photos as I go. See if I remember later. On break from painting at the moment. Will have some lunch and paint again. Nice warm day with the door open.
Funny, Larry is in California and it is colder there near LA than here. He is taking photos of a softball tournament for young kids. He was lucky and didn't have any flight problems.

Glad you are ending the year with artwork!!! See you in 2022!
Joan, hope you have a fruitful art year for 2022. Thank you for hanging around. :-)
I recognized Gene. I am so proud of you for finishing the big book. That was a lot of drawings! Forgetting you and your order and you forgetting them - that is funny. Shows that you really got into your right brain :)
Bag Blog, Thank you. The book was a big job. Mostly fun, but a lot of homework and making the Hunts fit to the book, no watercolor, etc. I tried watercolor but the couple of sketches really buckled the paper. I called Gene when I realized how long I had waited for the food. He was about to call me to see what had happened. Ha.
