It is a happy Monday to start off such a busy week. Jennie and the granddogs will be here tomorrow so I need to get the Christmas packages under the tree. The poinsettias will go in our room to be away from the dogs. We did some of the grocery shopping yesterday so Jennie and I can get to work on the tamales and biscochitos (cookies). Nice she can be here early so we aren't doing it all in one day like we normally do. Esther sent us some grapefruit from the valley so we will have some Salty Dogs while we work/cook.
I did sketch yesterday. Too rushed and not well done but will post them anyway for my record. I do use this blog like a journal. Micron 02 pen.
For Scavenger Hunt 5, memory - a turquoise and silver bracelet that was my mother's so it is well over 100 years old. It is very pretty and different as the turquoise are different shades of blue/green.
I also sketched for the creativespark page of December challenge from Kay's photos. I chose the sleeping cat. In the Canson sketchbook with a Micron 02 and Brush pen.
It was sleeping on a flowered pillow on a dark couch with some shadows on the wall.
So now off to wrap the coffee table book. Yay!

Biscochitos sound wonderful. Maybe I will make some too. Lindsay, Shay, and the babies will be here. Salty dogs sound fun too. Maybe I will just show up at your house!
Bag Blog, biscochitos are not hard, just time consuming. We make them small and as thin as we can, about a 50 cent piece so takes a while. You can come and Toby can recuperate here. All handicap ready! Sounds fun.
Merry Christmas!

ashok, Merry Christmas back to you. We had a great time with all the grown kiddos that are here in Texas.
I remember doing the tamales with my sister's friend, and it was fun....but exhausting to make so many like when I make my pierogi for Christmas Eve. That takes hours if I am doing it alone. It is much easier when we go to Maine because we have 5 of us working. Enjoy!!
Joan said, "like when I make my pierogi for Christmas Eve." Yep Joan, exactly. Jennie and I go pretty quickly. We did half in traditional corn husks and half in aluminum foil wrappers. Foil goes the fastest. The biscochitos/cookies are slow going, too.
sounds like a good time for everyone 😀
It was a great time.
