Uh oh, a teaser name to the post ... regular outside sketches but in the travel sketchbook. It is a Canson Mix Media, 7 x 10 inch sketchbook. It has 98 lb paper so can take a bit of water. I did not use any watercolor today.
We walked around the pond/lake today. I took the sketchbook so I could get a "Cove" for the Hunt. I had a different place in mind but this worked out well.
Number 12 Cove - on the easterly pond with the Sharpie Pen.
Number 13 Crane - sub a couple of egrets
We went to town to get some butane for the grill and a couple of Frostys at Wendy's. There was road work, they are making frontage roads along HWY 71. The cranes were on the other side, the bridge is finished on the north side. So....
Number 13-14 Crane - sub a big back hoe, I think it is called. Gene and I were listening to a book while I sketched.
We are listening to "An Ambush of Widows" written by Jeff Abbott. It is a mystery that takes place in Austin, Texas. Interesting.

Nice that you were able to do a cove by the lake. Nice sketches...equipment too!
Joan, thanks. It was fun to go for the crane/back hoe. You are much better about getting out and about for your sketches. I tend to sketch more at home. I love your people and beach scenes.
Maybe that thing is called an excavator. Maybe not. Fun sketches. The photos of the lake are beautiful. It got down in the 50's early morning warming up in the 80's the past couple of days. I may make it yet.
Bag Blog, maybe an excavator. I bet Roger would know. Thanks. Yes we had a bit of fall this week, hope it lasts.
Jo your sketch of a "cove" is great. Had to smile at your previous post...like you not a fan of yellow. Glad hubby came through with his Gatorade. Super job of capturing the cranes at work. Hope you have a great weekend . Hugs!
Debbie, thank you so much. Joan Tavolott goes out and sketches so much that I had to try to get out and sketch in the "real" world. She inspires.
Hope you’re doing well my friend.
R's Rue, thank you so much. Stay well, too.
havent had a frosty in years, dont have Wendys here, no taco bell, arby or A&W either, I miss A&W the most out of them
Jennifer Rose, we go back and forth with Wendy's Frosty and Dairy Queen Blizzards. Our daughter Joanna, is a fan of A&W. When she was about 10 months old we lived in Roswell, NM, and she would cry if we didn't stop at A&W. They had the tiny mugs and she loved drinking from that. Crazy kid and crazy us for starting her so young. Ha.
