Sketches What Else?

I haven't been painting so sketches it is.  The challenge is to finish the big book by Christmas .. big goal.  Sometimes items call for watercolor or pastel that don't go in the big book.  Fingers crossed!

Yesterday I sat at the dining table and today in my easy chair with my feet on the footstool.  That is becoming too common.  We have watched all the Hallmark movies and Midsomer Murders and our DVDs a few times.  We need to get up and move!  It is rainy and hot today so not very convenient to go out.

Number 4, double - the little honey jars, from Christy's and Nick's wedding.
Number 5, empty - the hinged jar
Number 6, footwear - SAS shoes, San Antonio Shoes, nice leather walking shoes.  So comfy and durable.  These are at least 10 years old and only wear is a bit on the heals.

I'm hosting this Scavenger Hunt 685, an alphabetical list and so far I am going down the list a challenge for the Hunt. https://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/topic/scavenger-hunt-685-july-5-july-13/page/2/

We had company on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.  So nice, our nephew Cody and his family from Arizona were here.  Cody is Roger's son with a Fourth of July birthday.  We went out on Tuesday to dinner, then our Texas kiddos (all adults) came out for Wednesday dinner so Gene cooked his famous brisket.  It was wonderful to see the Arizona bunch.  It had been a few years.  Boys are grown almost.  A senior and a first year university student.  Hard to believe!  All the photographers and iPhones and no photos.  What's up with that?

Today is Lea Blue's birthday.  Lea is an artist we met when we first came to Bastrop.  She is like an adopted daughter.  She is a delight to be around and so talented.  She makes the most beautiful wild flower and blue bonnet pottery.  Happy Birthday, Lea!!

Glad you had some company. It is nice to catch up when you haven't been able to get together for a while. Sounds like you all had fun!

Bag Blog, I don't remember how I found out about SAS Shoes, maybe when I bought them on the box?? Anyway they are leather and last forever and stay looking nice. I had a pair I wore in South America for years and did lots of walking in them. They were sort of dress up shoes for walking there on the cobblestones and bad sidewalks. No way to wear heels. Thank you for commenting.

Joan, it was great to catch up with our nephew and family. A fun bunch. Thanks.

Jo your shoes made me smile. There is nothing like a good comfy pair. As for the moving about it does seem easier when it is hot and humid to sit and take it easy. We are finally getting some much needed rain this week but whew the humidity is high. So glad you had a wonderful visit with your family. Had to smile about the phones and no photos. I forget that mine can take pictures. Well have a great weekend. Hugs!

Debbie, hi and thanks. Enjoy the rain, we've had more in spurts than we expected. Nice to cool it off for a while. Amazing with all the phones and photographers we don't get photos. Good weekend, we are off to some live music this afternoon.

you could always accidentally spill something on the big book and then you would be finished with it lol

Jennifer Rose, ha, ha! That is an idea. Not sure my daughter would agree with us.
